Pratibha Patil (born 1934) is the President of India from 2007 to 2012. Patil was born in Nadgaon on 19 December 1934.
Patil served as Member of the Lok Sabha (1991–1996), President of India (2007–2012), member of Rajya Sabha (1985–1990) and Member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly (1962–1985).
Patil was awarded honorary doctor of the University of Chile and Order of the Aztec Eagle. She was educated at Mooljee Jetha College, Jalgaon and Government Law College, Mumbai, India.
Patil married Devisingh Ransingh Shekhawat. She had one recorded child, Raosaheb Shekhawat. She is recorded as following Hinduism.
