Early Career and Education
Born in Marseille in 1930, Bellon completed his formal education at HEC Paris. He entered the professional workforce in 1958, joining a family-owned business. Initially working as a sales representative, he transitioned into a role as a management assistant, where he successfully secured several contracts that provided the foundation for his future commercial ventures.

With the financial and operational support of his family, Bellon established his own company in 1966. The entity, originally titled Société d'exploitations hôtelières, aériennes, maritimes et terrestres, focused on supplying auxiliary services to a diverse range of institutions. This clientele grew to include government agencies, armed forces, correctional facilities, and recreational sites. He guided the group for decades, eventually stepping down from the role of CEO in 2005.
Leadership Transition and Legacy
Bellon maintained his role as chairman of the company until January 2016, at which point his daughter, Sophie Bellon, assumed the position of chairwoman. Beyond his corporate duties, he helped establish the non-profit Association Progrès du Management in 1987, an organization dedicated to the development of corporate leaders. His personal history is documented in his autobiography, titled I Have Had a Great Time.
