During his five-year spell, he navigated significant physical challenges, including a major knee injury sustained in 2021 and an ankle issue in 2022. Despite these setbacks, he reached the milestone of 100 competitive appearances for the club in 2022 and 100 Premier League appearances in 2023, earning individual accolades including the 2020-21 Players' Player of the Season.
Transition to Chelsea and International Success
In August 2024, Neto transferred to Chelsea on a seven-year contract. His debut campaign featured 51 appearances and nine goals, contributing to victories in the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup.
