Pedro Gallese started his professional football career in 2008 with Universidad San Martín in Lima, quickly establishing himself as a consistent goalkeeper. Early Career and Domestic Success
Gallese developed through the youth systems at Academia Tito Drago and Club Deportivo Junior FC before signing with Universidad San Martín in 2007. He debuted for the senior squad in June 2008. Following a loan spell at Atlético Minero in 2009, he returned to record 63 appearances for San Martín. In 2015, he transferred to Juan Aurich, where he made his first appearance in the Copa Libertadores.

In 2016, Gallese signed with the Mexican club Veracruz. His stint there concluded in December 2019 following the team's disaffiliation from Liga MX. During this timeframe, he also completed a loan spell with Alianza Lima for the 2019 season. He received honors as the Peruvian player of the year in both 2019 and 2021.
Tenure at Orlando City
Joining Major League Soccer in 2020, Gallese became the primary goalkeeper for Orlando City. Over six seasons, he recorded 57 clean sheets and made 568 saves across 18,188 minutes of play. He earned selection to the 2021 MLS All-Star Game and secured the 2022 MLS Save of the Year Award. In December 2025, he transitioned to the Colombian club Deportivo Cali.
National Team Representation
Gallese debuted for the senior Peru national team on 6 August 2014 against Panama. He served as the starting goalkeeper during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, helping the team qualify for the first time in 36 years. By October 2023, he reached the milestone of 100 international caps, becoming the first Peruvian goalkeeper to achieve the mark.
