Early Career and Television Success
Born in 1977 in Montevideo, Oreiro began her professional path by appearing in over 30 television commercials during her teens. After winning a children's contest hosted by Xuxa in 1993, she served as an assistant on the program. By 1995, she secured a role in the soap opera Dulce Ana, followed by 90-60-90 modelos in 1996 and a lead part in Ricos y Famosos in 1997. Her role as Milagros Espósito in Muñeca Brava later solidified her fame, earning her multiple Martín Fierro Award nominations and leading to the phenomenon known as Oreiromania in various international markets.

Her filmography includes roles in Clandestine Childhood (2011), The German Doctor (2013), and Miss Tacuarembó (2010). She has continued to work in romantic comedies and dramas, including My First Wedding (2011), Super Crazy (2018), I'm Gilda (2015), Expiration Date (2023), and The Woman in Line (2025).
Television Hosting and Humanitarian Work
Expanding beyond acting, Oreiro transitioned into reality television hosting. She served as the presenter for Got Talent Uruguay from 2020 to 2022, La Voz Uruguay between 2022 and 2023, and ¿Quién es la Máscara? Argentina in 2022. Outside of her entertainment career, she has collaborated with environmental and humanitarian groups. In September 2011, UNICEF appointed her as a Goodwill Ambassador for Argentina and Uruguay, a position through which she supports social awareness initiatives.
