Sixteen seconds into the 2021 AFC Champions League Final, Nasser Al-Dawsari recorded the fastest goal in the history of the competition. His strike against the Pohang Steelers provided the opening for a 2-0 victory, marking the fourth continental title for his club, Al Hilal. He remains a versatile figure in Saudi Arabian professional football, operating across multiple defensive and midfield roles.

Early Development and Professional Entry

Nasser Essa Shafi Al-Shardan Al-Dawsari, born 19 December 1998 in Saudi Arabia, began his footballing progression within the Al Hilal youth system in 2011 at age 13. He transitioned into the senior setup and has maintained a continuous tenure with the Riyadh-based club, which was founded in 1957. His development has spanned positions including left-back, defensive-midfielder, and central-midfielder.

Club Achievements and Tactical Versatility

Over his tenure with Al Hilal, Al-Dawsari has secured numerous domestic titles, including Saudi Professional League championships in the 2017–18, 2019–20, 2020–21, 2021–22, and 2023–24 seasons. His trophy collection also features King Cup victories in 2019–20, 2022–23, and 2023–24, alongside Saudi Super Cup wins in 2018, 2021, 2023, and 2024. He played 61 matches and scored one goal for the club as of the recorded period leading to 2024.

International Competition

Al-Dawsari represents the Saudi Arabia national team, joining the squad in 2021. As of the match played on 26 June 2026, he had accumulated nine international appearances. His participation in major global events includes taking part in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. His professional career is conducted in his native Arabic.
