His output included pieces such as Baião das Mulheres in 1952, Baião do Chofer in 1953, and Boate Tra La Lá in 1956. He later entered a notable collaborative cycle with Moreira da Silva, focusing on the development of sambas de breque. His repertoire expanded into specific tracks like A Dança do Bidú, A Fúria Louca de Jean Pouchard, and Bem Vindo Seja, all released in 1957.
Notable Works and Later Years
His 1962 collaboration with Jorge Veiga resulted in the composition Brigitte Bardot. Following this, he produced works such as the 1970 tracks Bloco Da Lua, written with Luiz Reis, and Brasil Eu Adoro Você. His creative output also included songs like A Saia, Vovózinha, and Plante que o governo garante. He died in 1972 at the age of 50 and is buried at the Caju Cemetery in his home city of Rio de Janeiro.
