Early Career and Move to Europe
Marquinhos entered the Corinthians youth system at age eight. He debuted professionally in 2012, playing in the Campeonato Paulista before making his Série A debut in May against Fluminense. His debut occurred in September during a Champions League match against Olympiacos, where he recorded his first professional goal. As part of a defensive lineup that included Thiago Silva and David Luiz, he secured multiple Ligue 1 titles. Following Thiago Silva's departure in 2020, Marquinhos assumed the captaincy. He later led the club to back-to-back Champions League victories in 2025 and 2026, marking a record-breaking tenure with the side.
International Representation
