Manuel Turizo

Colombian singer

Manuel Turizo Zapata, a Colombian singer born on 12 April 2000, began his professional trajectory in 2016 within the Montería coastal region. Initially focused on veterinary studies, he pivoted toward a musical career following vocal instruction. His entry into the Latin pop landscape accelerated quickly, establishing him as a significant presence in the urban music scene through steady collaborative efforts.

Early Development and Musical Foundation

Born in Córdoba Department, Turizo grew up with a domestic environment centered on music, as his father and brother, Julián Turizo, were practicing musicians. During his youth, his parents provided Julián with a guitar and microphone, which inadvertently encouraged the brothers to form a collaborative duo. While Julián provided accompaniment on the guitar, ukulele, and vocal harmonies, Manuel refined his baritone range by singing along to recordings by artists like Bruno Mars and Carlos Vives. His formal musical pursuits began at age thirteen.
