Luis Abram

Luis Alfonso Abram Ugarelli began his professional football career in 2014 as a youth graduate of the Sporting Cristal academy in Lima. That inaugural season saw him secure the Newcomer of the Season Award within the Peruvian Primera División, establishing the foundation for a professional trajectory that would eventually span clubs in Spain, Mexico, and international leagues.

Domestic Club Success

Abram’s early professional years were defined by his tenure at Sporting Cristal. Between 2014 and 2017, he made 37 appearances and scored two goals for the club. His contributions were central to the team securing domestic league titles in 2014 and 2016. Following his departure from Peru, his career path led him to sign with the La Liga club Granada on 31 July 2021.

International Competition

The defender has represented Peru at multiple youth and senior levels. He debuted for the U18s during the 2013 Bolivarian Games and subsequently featured for the U20 squad across ten appearances between 2014 and 2015. His senior international debut occurred in May 2016 during a 4–0 friendly victory over Trinidad and Tobago. He was later included in the provisional 24-man roster for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, though he did not advance to the final 23-man squad. In 2019, he participated in the Copa América held in São Paulo, Brazil.

Professional Transitions

After his period in Spain, Abram moved to Mexican football, where he earned the Supercopa de la Liga MX title with Cruz Azul in 2022. By 2 February 2023, he transitioned to Major League Soccer to join Atlanta United FC. As of mid-2025, he continues to maintain an active professional profile, with recent match data recorded through August 2025.
