Born on September 26, 1902, she was the daughter of Boris Chapiro-Volpert, a chemist originally from Russia, and Louise Guesde. Her maternal ancestry included Jules Guesde, who worked as a French journalist and socialist politician. She grew up in Paris before eventually adopting the professional stage name Lilian Constantini for her film career.

Her body of work primarily spanned the silent era of cinema. She appeared in numerous productions, including La vivante épingle in 1921, La bouquetière des innocents in 1923, and Le cousin Pons in 1924. Her later credits included Naples au baiser de feu in 1925, La chèvre aux pieds d'or and En plongée in 1926, Espionage in 1928, and the short film Celles qui s'en font, also in 1928. Her filmography continued with Chacun porte sa croix and Sa maman in 1929, L'étrange fiancée in 1930, Crime d'amour in 1934, and Le coup de trois in 1936.
Personal Life and Later Years
In 1943, she entered into a marriage with Charles Schneider, an industrialist who served as the Chairman of Schneider Electric between 1942 and 1960. The couple had two daughters: Dominique Schneidre, who became a novelist, and Catherine Schneider, known as a former wife of the director Roger Vadim. Constantini died on January 5, 1982, in Saint-Tropez.
