Lee Myung-bak (born 1941) is the President of South Korea from 2008 to 2013. He was born in Kami on 19 December 1941.
Lee served as President of South Korea (2008–2013), Mayor of Seoul (2002–2006) and Member of the National Assembly of South Korea (1996–1998).
Lee was awarded Royal Order of the Seraphim, Grand Order of Mugunghwa, Order of the Golden Eagle (2009), Knight Grand Cross with Collar of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic and Knight of the Order of the Elephant (2011). He studied at Korea University and George Washington University.
Lee was the son of Lee Chung-u. He married Kim Yoon-ok. He had three recorded children, Lee Su-yeon, Lee Seung-yeon and Lee Si-hyeong. He is recorded as following Presbyterianism.
