Academic and Military Foundation
Born in 1952, Lee Hsien Loong studied at Catholic High School before attending Trinity College, Cambridge, where he earned a first-class degree in mathematics and a diploma in computer science. He also completed a Master of Public Administration at the John F. Kennedy School of Government. His service in the Singapore Armed Forces began in 1972, culminating in his role as a brigadier-general. During this period, he attended the United States Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth.

Lee entered the Parliament of Singapore in 1984, representing the Teck Ghee constituency. He served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore from 1990 to 2004. Between 2001 and 2007, he acted as the Minister for Finance. In 2004, he succeeded Goh Chok Tong as the Prime Minister of Singapore and served as the Secretary General of the People's Action Party until 2024.
Governance and Policy
Throughout his time as Prime Minister, Lee directed Singapore through the Great Recession and the COVID-19 pandemic. His administration implemented reforms such as a five-day work week and expanded tourism infrastructure, including the development of Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa. In 2024, he transitioned to the role of Senior Minister under the administration of Lawrence Wong.
