His broadcasting work commenced in 1950 at WOW-AM and WOW-TV in Omaha, where he developed early comedic routines and sketches.

In 1951, Carson moved to Los Angeles to join the station KNXT. He gained early industry attention for his sketch program, Carson's Cellar. After stepping in for Red Skelton in 1954, he expanded his television presence through game shows such as Earn Your Vacation and the program Who Do You Trust?, which he hosted from 1957 until 1962.
Recognition and Later Honors
Throughout his life, Carson received numerous accolades for his contribution to entertainment.
