Foundations and Early Roles
Born in Brooklyn in 1957, Turturro pursued formal training at the State University of New York at New Paltz before completing a Master of Fine Arts at the Yale School of Drama in 1983. His professional start included an appearance in the 1980 film Raging Bull.
