These were eventually collected in an omnibus edition titled The Great Leveller. He later explored different demographics with the Viking-influenced Shattered Sea trilogy, which HarperCollins acquired in 2013.
Television and Screenwriting
Abercrombie has contributed to the Netflix animated anthology series Love, Death & Robots, writing the screenplay for the third season episode Mason's Rats. In the fourth season, he authored scripts for the episodes Spider Rose and Golgotha. In 2025, it was announced that he would co-write a script for a film adaptation of his novel The Devils with James Cameron.
