Early Development and Training
Born in Gunpo, South Korea, in 1995, Kim Ji-soo attended the School of Performing Arts Seoul. During her high school years, she participated in a drama club and began attending industry auditions. In 2011, she joined YG Entertainment as a trainee. Her early screen appearances included cameos in music videos for Epik High and Hi Suhyun, followed by a 2015 role in the television drama The Producers.

Jisoo officially debuted as a member of Blackpink in August 2016 alongside Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. The group's first release, Square One, featured the successful singles Whistle and Boombayah. As part of the group, she contributed to songwriting, including tracks on The Album and Born Pink. Between 2017 and 2018, she served as a host for the music program Inkigayo.
Acting Career and Solo Achievements
Her performance as Eun Yeong-ro in the 2021 drama Snowdrop earned her the Seoul International Drama Award for Outstanding Korean Actress. Following her solo debut in 2023, she launched the label Blissoo in 2024. By 2025, she signed with Warner Records and released the EP Amortage, featuring the single Earthquake. Her 2026 roles include the series Boyfriend on Demand and recognition at the Festival Canneséries.
