Itumeleng Khune

South African footballer

Itumeleng Khune (born 1987) is a South African footballer. He was born in Ventersdorp on 20 June 1987.

Itumeleng Khune competed in association football as a goalkeeper. He turned out for Kaizer Chiefs F.C. (from 2004), the South Africa national under-20 football team (2003–2005), the South Africa national under-23 football team (2005–2007), the South Africa men's national association football team (from 2008) and Kaizer Chiefs F.C. (from 2005). The active career dates from 2007.

The honours on record include South African Sport Star of the Year (2013). Itumeleng Khune took part in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup, football at the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations.

Kaizer Chiefs F.C. was founded in 1970.
