Hina Jilani

Pakistani activist

Hina Jilani (born 1953) is a Pakistani human rights defender and lawyer. Jilani was born in Lahore on 19 December 1953.

Jilani held office as United Nations Special Rapporteur. She was attached to United Nations.

Jilani received Ginetta Sagan Award (2000) and Millennium Peace Prize for Women (2001). She was elected to The Elders. She was educated at Convent of Jesus and Mary, Lahore.
