In January 2016, at age 21, Kristoffersen became the first skier to capture the three classic slalom races at Adelboden, Wengen, and Kitzbühel within a single season. This performance elevated him to the position of the most successful Norwegian in the history of World Cup slalom. He extended this dominance on 26 January at the Schladming night race, securing his fourth classic victory of the month. That season, he won six World Cup slalom races, a feat no other male racer had matched in 24 years.
World Championship Success
The 2019 World Championships in Åre, Sweden, marked a shift toward broader multi-discipline success for the Norwegian athlete. He secured the gold medal in the giant slalom, adding a World Championship title to his existing record of Olympic and World Cup accomplishments.
