Goh navigated several significant physical setbacks during her career, including knee surgery in 2014 and shoulder surgery in 2017. Despite these interruptions, she maintained a consistent presence on the BWF circuit. Her partnership with Chan Peng Soon yielded numerous titles, including the 2012 Japan Open, 2018 Thailand Masters, and the 2019 Thailand Masters following their departure from the Badminton Association of Malaysia.
Retirement and Post-Athletic Ventures
Following a 13-year partnership, Goh and Chan split in late 2021. Goh formally retired in January 2023 after competing at the Malaysia Open, where a ceremony was held in her honour at Axiata Arena. Post-retirement, she shifted her focus to entrepreneurship, founding the GLY Academy and a sports agency named Wellsport, while also opening a badminton facility in Krubong.
