Getaneh Kebede

Ethiopian footballer

Thirty-three international goals established Getaneh Kebede as the all-time top goalscorer for the Ethiopia national football team. Throughout a career spanning over a decade, the striker maintained a consistent presence in both the Ethiopian Premier League and foreign competitions, anchoring his offensive contributions with technical proficiency and a high scoring rate for his country.

Early Career and Domestic Success

Born in Dilla on 2 April 1992, Kebede began his professional journey with Debub Police before joining Dedebit. His effectiveness as a forward became evident during his initial tenure at Dedebit, where he secured the top scorer title for the Ethiopian Premier League in 2013. This performance facilitated his transition to international club football later that year.
