Personal Life and Recognition
Eliassen married Helfrid Beda Andrea Strömberg in 1907. The couple had three children: Trond, Arnt, and Rønnaug, the latter of whom married educator and politician Torolv Solheim. His professional contributions were formally acknowledged in 1951 when he was named a Knight First Class of the Order of St. Olav. He died in Oslo in 1964 and is buried at Vestre gravlund.
