Franck Riboud assumed leadership of the food industry giant Danone in 1996, succeeding his father, Antoine Riboud. Born on 7 November 1955 in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon, France, Riboud pursued his formal education with a focus on technical training. He attended the Lycée Ampère in his home city before moving to Switzerland. There, he completed his studies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne.
