Following the death of Filippo Lippi in 1469, Diamante assumed responsibility for completing the frescoes in the cathedral of Spoleto. He successfully finalized this project in 1470. Upon the completion of these tasks, the commune of Spoleto paid him a balance of 200 ducats. Records suggest he subsequently returned to Florence, utilizing these funds to acquire land.
Guardianship of Filippino Lippi
Beyond his artistic output, Diamante served as the guardian for the young Filippino Lippi, the ten-year-old son of his late mentor.
