Professional Club Development
Al-Buraikan began his professional career with Al-Nassr, contributing to their 2018–19 Saudi Pro League title and Saudi Super Cup victories in 2019 and 2020. He moved to Al-Fateh on 8 July 2021, signing a four-year contract. During his first season, he served as the club's top scorer with 11 goals and four assists in 28 matches. He improved his output in the following season with 18 goals across all competitions. By 3 June 2023, he extended his stay at Al-Fateh until the 2027–28 season before transferring to Al-Ahli on 3 September 2023 for a reported fee of SAR40 million.

The forward represented Saudi Arabia across multiple youth levels. He was part of the 2018 AFC U-19 Championship winning squad, where he scored against Australia. This led to his inclusion in the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup, where he netted goals against Mali and Panama. His tenure with the U-23 team included appearances at the 2020 AFC U-23 Championship and a victory in the 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup. He also represented the Saudi Olympic side at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in 2021.
Senior National Team Career
Al-Buraikan debuted for the senior national side during the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification process against Singapore. His first international goal occurred during the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup against Kuwait. During the third round of the World Cup qualifiers, he scored three goals. He played in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, providing the assist for the opening goal in Saudi Arabia’s 2–1 win over Argentina. He was also involved in the 2026 FIFA World Cup cycle.
