Although large portions of her performance were excised from the theatrical release, she noted satisfaction when the subplot concerning her character's domestic struggles was restored in the director's cut. In 2006, she joined the Bond franchise as Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale, a role that earned her the BAFTA Rising Star Award and the Empire Award for Best Newcomer in 2007.
