Erika Susanna Vikman secured her place in Finnish music history when she was crowned the Tango Queen of Finland in 2016. Early Development
Born on 20 February 1993, Vikman grew up in Lempäälä and Pori with a musical background provided by her mother. Her formal training included attending the Tampere Upper Secondary School of Performing Arts, where she earned a diploma in 2013, followed by studies in pop-jazz vocals at the Pirkanmaa Music College. Her competitive singing experience began early, winning the girls' division of the 2008 Junior Tango Competition and participating in the 2010 Tampere Springboard Competition.

The singer first reached a national audience through the seventh season of the Finnish version of Idols in 2013. Despite multiple eliminations and a wildcard return, she placed seventh overall. She subsequently moved into the Finnish tango scene, finishing as the runner-up in the 2015 Tangomarkkinat before winning the competition the following year. This title initiated a contract with Sony Music, resulting in her 2017 single Ettei mee elämä hukkaan.
Mainstream Breakthrough
A transition to Warner Music Finland preceded her participation in Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2020. Her performance of the song Cicciolina, inspired by the performer Ilona Staller, earned the highest public vote and reached the top five in national charts. She sustained this momentum with the single Syntisten pöytä, which secured a number-one position on Finnish radio. In 2021, her self-titled debut album reached the top spot on the domestic charts.
International Performance
Vikman expanded her media presence by appearing in the first season of Masked Singer Suomi in 2020 as The Wasp and joining the thirteenth season of Vain elämää in 2022. By 2025, she secured her spot in the Eurovision Song Contest through her victory at Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu with the song Ich komme. During the Eurovision final, she finished in 11th place with a total of 196 points.
