Development at Arsenal
Frimpong entered the Hale End Academy at age nine, training alongside Jack Wilshere. He attended Gladesmore Community School in Tottenham until age 14, when he prioritized full-time football. By 2009, he had advanced to the reserve team, though his progression faced significant setbacks due to serious knee injuries, including an anterior cruciate ligament tear in 2010.

His Premier League debut occurred on 13 August 2011 against Newcastle United. During the 2011–12 season, he made limited appearances for Arsenal before undertaking a series of loan spells. He joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2012, where a ruptured cruciate ligament in his right knee ended his campaign early. Subsequent loans took him to Charlton Athletic in November 2012 and Fulham in January 2013 to secure regular playing time.
International and Late Career
After representing England at the youth level, Frimpong committed his international future to Ghana. FIFA granted eligibility in November 2012, and he made his senior debut for the Black Stars against Sudan in March 2013. Following his departure from Arsenal, he played for Barnsley, followed by stints at Russian clubs FC Ufa and Arsenal Tula. He later played for AFC Eskilstuna in Sweden and Ermis Aradippou in Cyprus before retiring in 2019 due to injury.
