Early Development and Rennes
The son of Celestino Camavinga and Sofia Simão, he relocated to Fougères, France, at age two. After initially practicing judo, he committed to football and joined the Rennes youth system at age eleven. On 14 December 2018, he signed his first professional contract. His debut occurred on 6 April 2019 against Angers, making him the club's youngest debutant. By August 2019, he recorded an assist and received the man of the match award against Paris Saint-Germain, securing the UNFP Player of the Month title.

Upon joining Real Madrid, Camavinga debuted on 12 September 2021 against Celta Vigo, scoring shortly after entering as a substitute. He contributed to the club's success, including two La Liga–Champions League doubles in 2022 and 2024. During his tenure, he played as both a central midfielder and a left-back. Following a contract extension in 2023, his later seasons were hampered by injuries, including a knee sprain in 2024 and an adductor tendon rupture in April 2025.
International Representation
After obtaining French nationality, Camavinga joined the national team in 2020. At age 17, he became the youngest player to debut for France since 1914. He scored his first international goal on 7 October 2020 against Ukraine. He was part of the squad that finished as runners-up in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, appearing as a substitute in the final against Argentina.
