Dominic Solanke, born in 1997, is an English association football striker whose professional career has spanned multiple Premier League clubs since his debut in 2014. Educated at Brighton Hill Community School, he established himself through Chelsea's academy before securing permanent moves to Liverpool, Bournemouth, and finally signing a six-year contract with his current club in August 2024.
Academy Development and Chelsea Debut
Solanke joined Chelsea in 2004 at the under-eight level. During the 2013–14 season, he scored 20 goals in 25 matches for the under-18 squad. His first-team debut occurred on 21 October 2014 in a 6–0 UEFA Champions League win against NK Maribor. He notably contributed to Chelsea’s 2014–15 UEFA Youth League title, scoring 12 goals in nine appearances. Following a 2015–16 loan spell at Vitesse, where he scored seven goals in 25 matches, he remained at Chelsea until 2017.

In July 2017, Solanke joined Liverpool for a tribunal-set fee of approximately £3 million. He made 27 appearances for the club, scoring his only goal against Brighton & Hove Albion on 13 May 2018. In January 2019, he moved to Bournemouth for a reported £19 million fee. He set a personal top-flight record of 19 goals during the 2023–24 campaign.
International and Club Success
Solanke represented England at all youth levels and the senior team. He secured the 2014 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup, receiving the Golden Ball for his performance in the latter. In 2025, he was part of the squad that won the Europa League. On 12 January 2024, he became the first Bournemouth player to earn the Premier League Player of the Month award after recording six goals in December 2023.
