Early Development and Service
Raised in Fécamp, Belle spent his childhood learning physical skills under his grandfather, Gilbert Kitten. In 1984, he relocated to Lisses, where he began adapting techniques to urban environments alongside peers who eventually formed the group known as the Yamakasi. Following a period of service in the French Marines, where he broke his father's regimental record for rope climbing, Belle worked as a warehouseman, security guard, and furniture salesman. He also dedicated three months to studying kung fu in India.

Belle formalized his movement training into the discipline of parkour, heavily influenced by the teachings of his father, Raymond Belle. After filming footage of his capabilities—later released as the Speed Air Man video—he gained media attention. A 1997 broadcast by the Stade 2 team brought his work to a wider audience. While initially associated with the Yamakasi, Belle separated from the group due to disagreements over naming conventions. He later mentored students who adopted the designation traceur to define practitioners of his methods.
Film and Choreography Career
After meeting actor Hubert Koundé, Belle pursued acting, beginning with the play Pygmalion. His film career expanded through collaborations with director Luc Besson, notably in District 13 and its sequel, District 13: Ultimatum, where he co-starred with Cyril Raffaelli. He also appeared in the 2014 film Brick Mansions alongside Paul Walker. Beyond performing, Belle has served as a stunt coordinator and consultant for productions including Prince of Persia, Colombiana, The Family, and the Dying Light video game series. He currently chairs the Parkour Committee of the International Federation of Gymnastics.
