A casting call for the Mexican version of Sesame Street in 1999 served as the initial stage for Danna Paola Rivera Munguía, who secured a role at age four. Since then, the Mexico City native has transitioned from a child star in children's telenovelas to an international performer and musician recognized for her work in streaming series and musical theater.
Early Television Success
Her prominence in Mexican media began with her lead performance in the series Amy, la niña de la mochila azul in 2004. This breakout role preceded her turn as the female lead in Pablo y Andrea, an adaptation of the classic novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. By 2009, she secured the role of Patito in the successful telenovela Atrévete a soñar, which signaled her professional shift from children's programming to teen-focused dramas. The show's soundtrack achieved double platinum certification in Mexico.

International Growth and Élite
Following a move to Miami in 2015 for the telenovela ¿Quién es quién?, her career expanded further with the Netflix original series Élite. For the role of Lucrecia Montesinos, she relocated to Madrid for production in 2018. The project ran for three seasons, increasing her profile beyond Latin America. She later served as a judge on La Academia and a mentor for Top Star. While she eventually shifted her primary focus toward music, she continued her connection to theater by providing the voice for Elphaba in the 2024 Latin American Spanish dub of the film adaptation of Wicked.
