Boualem Sansal (born 1949) is an Algerian writer, engineer and teacher. He was born in Theniet El Had on 15 October 1949.
Boualem Sansal held office as member of the Académie française (from 2026). The work most closely associated with the name includes The Oath of the Barbarians, The German Mujahid and 2084: The End of the World.
