Ethiopian Catholic Archbishop of Addis Abeba

Berhaneyesus Demerew Souraphiel (born 1948) is the Catholic Archbishop of Addis Abeba. Souraphiel was born in Ethiopia on 14 July 1948.

Souraphiel held office as cardinal priest (from 2015), titular bishop (1997–1999), Catholic archbishop (1999–2026) and apostolic administrator (1998–1999).

Souraphiel took part in the 2025 conclave. He was educated at Pontifical Gregorian University and King's College London.
