Aysel Teymurzadeh secured a third-place finish for Azerbaijan in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, held in Moscow. Early Development and Education
Born in 1989 in Baku, Teymurzadeh is the youngest of three daughters. Her interest in music began at age four, with the piano emerging as a primary focus during her youth. She attended the Intellect Lyceum in Baku before participating in the 2005 Yeni Ulduz singing contest. That same year, she relocated to the United States for the 2005–2006 academic term, enrolling at Texas High School in Texarkana. During this period, she joined a local choir and secured three gold medals at vocal competitions held at Southern Arkansas University and the University of Texas at Austin. She later attended the Azerbaijan University of Languages, where she studied International Relations.

In January 2009, İTV internally selected Teymurzadeh to represent Azerbaijan at Eurovision. Competing in Moscow on May 16, 2009, she and Arash earned 207 points, placing third out of 25 grand final performers. This achievement secured them the 4th Annual ESC Radio Award for Best Group. Following the event, the duo toured across Europe, including stops in Sweden, Greece, and Russia. She subsequently worked on a planned album release through Sony BMG and Warner Music.
Professional Activities and Personal Life
Teymurzadeh appeared in television commercials for Danone in Azerbaijan and Georgia. Her professional involvement with Eurovision continued after her own performance; she served as a jury member for the Danish national selection in 2012 and acted as the spokesperson for the Azerbaijani jury during the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest. In 2012, she married Murad Adigozalov, the director of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Society. The couple has two sons, born in 2012 and 2016, and one daughter, born in 2014. Following her marriage, her activities shifted toward official events rather than large-scale stage performances.
