Following his involvement in 2011 protests, Nayed helped establish the Network of Free Ulema. He served the National Transitional Council as a coordinator for executive support offices and led the Tripoli Taskforce and the Libya Stabilization Team. From 2011 to 2016, he held the position of Libyan Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. He maintains various roles, including Secretary of the Network of Free Ulema and Senior Advisor to the Cambridge Inter-Faith Programme.
Philanthropic Initiatives
Nayed has directed his resources toward the preservation of traditional knowledge and cultural heritage. His philanthropic efforts include the restoration of the Uthman Pasha Madrassa in Tripoli and the endowment of libraries across Tajikistan, Turkey, Mali, and Libya.
