Kryachkov established his career as an architect, contributing to the development of several major cities including Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Krasnoyarsk, Yaroslavl, Barnaul, and Kemerovo. His work at Tomsk State University and Tomsk Polytechnic University anchored his career in academic and civic construction. From 1930 to 1950, he served as the head of the State Academy of Architecture and Fine Arts.

Following his service during the Great Patriotic War, he was awarded the Medal for Valiant Labour in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945. He also held the title of Honoured Worker of Science and Technology of the RSFSR and earned a Doctor in Engineering degree.
