In 2014, Manchester United triggered a €36 million buyout clause to secure Herrera. His debut occurred on 16 August 2014. Throughout his time in England, he secured the FA Cup, FA Community Shield, EFL Cup, and the UEFA Europa League, earning man of the match honors in the latter final. He was recognized as Manchester United’s player of the year for the 2016–17 season. His contributions included crucial goals against opponents such as Arsenal, Liverpool, and Aston Villa.
European Campaigns and Return to Spain
Herrera transferred to Paris Saint-Germain in 2019. During his first season, he started in the UEFA Champions League final against Bayern Munich.
