Kenyan entrepreneur

Amina Moghe Hersi launched a series of multimillion-dollar projects in Kampala, Uganda, after relocating from Bungoma, Kenya, in 1996. Her business activities span commercial real estate, hardware distribution, and large-scale industrial manufacturing. By concentrating her efforts on the urban core of Uganda's capital and the rural development of the northern regions, she established a significant portfolio of assets.

Early Career and Relocation

Born in 1963 in Bungoma, Kenya, she was raised by a mother who worked as a businesswoman. Alongside her sister, she gained early experience in cross-border trade between Kenya and Uganda. After completing accounting school, she operated a hardware store in Bungoma before deciding to relocate to Uganda. Following the stabilization of the country in 1996, she transitioned into the Ugandan market without an existing foundation, utilizing her background in accounting and trade to establish a new hardware venture in Kampala.
