Álvaro Borja Morata Martín began his professional football career in 2010 with Real Madrid. His professional trajectory includes multiple Champions League titles and domestic successes in Spain and Italy while establishing himself as a significant goalscorer.

Early Career in Madrid

Morata started his football development after joining Real Madrid from Getafe in 2008. By July 2010, his performance with the Juvenil A team earned him a promotion to Real Madrid Castilla. He debuted for the senior team on 12 December 2010, appearing as a substitute during a match against Real Zaragoza. During his time with the reserve team, he demonstrated goal-scoring consistency, notably netting a hat-trick against Deportivo Fabril in February 2011.

European Success and Italian Tenure

In 2014, Morata transferred to Juventus for a €20 million fee. During two seasons in Italy, he contributed to domestic doubles, winning the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia. He played a significant role in the 2014–15 UEFA Champions League, scoring in both legs of the semi-final against Real Madrid and in the final against Barcelona. He later returned to Juventus on loan between 2020 and 2022.

Domestic Trophies and Premier League Move

After being bought back by Real Madrid for €30 million, Morata secured both the La Liga title and the UEFA Champions League during the 2016–17 season. In 2017, he signed with Chelsea for approximately £60 million. He subsequently moved to Atlético Madrid in 2019, eventually making the deal permanent in 2020. His club journey continued with a move to AC Milan in 2024 and a 2025 loan spell at Galatasaray, where he secured a domestic double.
