Ahmad Vahidi

Iranian politician

Ahmad Vahidi (born 1958) is an Iranian politician and army officer. Vahidi was born in Shiraz on 27 June 1958.

Vahidi held office as Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics (2009–2013), Interior Minister of Iran (2021–2024), Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (from 2026) and Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (in 2025). The active career dates from 1979.

Vahidi is recorded as following Shia Islam.
