Adolfo Ruiz Cortines

54th President of Mexico

Adolfo Ruiz Cortines (1890–1973) was the 54th President of Mexico. Ruiz was born in Veracruz on 30 December 1890. He died in Mexico City on 3 December 1973, at the age of 83.

Ruiz served as President of Mexico (1952–1958), Governor of Veracruz (1944–1948), minister and Member of the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico. The active career dates from 1914.
