The number, and how to read it
Infobae and El Tiempo both report his tested IQ as 162, and both frame it against the figure of 160 popularly attributed to Albert Einstein — a comparison worth treating carefully, since Einstein never sat a modern IQ test and the attributed number is folklore rather than data.
What can be said precisely is this: a score of 162 has been reported by named outlets, and this page reports it as such rather than as a measured fact of its own. The score is the reason the press found him; it is not the most interesting thing about the file.
Jr. NASA, 2024
In 2024 he was selected for a Jr. NASA programme, one of ten children picked internationally, and Infobae named him that December among the Mexican child prodigies who had defined the year.
Selection to a programme of that kind is a competitive, documented event rather than a title bought or claimed, which makes it the firmest single entry in his record. It is also what turned a local story into a national one: from that point on, Mexican outlets covered him as a recurring figure rather than a one-day curiosity.
Macayos, and a book
Macayos is his own project: a digital platform that uses artificial intelligence to teach children to manage their emotions, built with bullying explicitly in mind. He has also published a book, Enciende tu chispa: Una inspiradora historia de pasión, disciplina y propósito de vida.
His mother, Claudia Flores, appears in the coverage alongside him. Reporting states that he studies at an international online school and has been learning several languages — Spanish, English, French and German, with Russian, Portuguese and Italian begun more recently.
In his own words
Two lines of his have carried. On what genius means: los genios ya están en la tumba y, si son genios, es porque hicieron cosas geniales — the geniuses are already in the grave, and if they are geniuses it is because they did brilliant things.
And on how children like him are treated: no somos extraterrestres: tenemos altas capacidades, pero seguimos siendo niños. We are not aliens; we have high abilities, but we are still children. It is a sharper piece of media criticism than most of the coverage that prompted it.

Hacer la prueba de CI →What is documented — and what is not
Documented: the reported IQ of 162, the 2024 Jr. NASA selection, the Macayos app, the book, his mother's name, the languages he is studying, and reporting in May 2026 that he was heading to a programming school in Germany, named in the research record as 42 Heilbronn, to study artificial intelligence.
Open: his exact age. Coverage describes him as 10 both in December 2024 and in May 2026, so his birth year is left blank here rather than guessed. Also undocumented: who administered the IQ test, and any independent assessment of the app.
