Emma Alam

Emma Alam is a mental from Pakistan. Emma Alam won the WMSC World Memory Championships in 2020, the first world memory title for Pakistan, in an edition held remotely from Karachi with results combined across countries because of COVID-19 restrictions.

Competitive mental calculation is governed and measured: the Mental Calculation World Cup, the Memoriad and the Mind Sports Olympiad all run standardised tasks — adding ten ten-digit numbers, multiplying eight-digit numbers, extracting square roots and computing calendar dates — so results are directly comparable across decades.
