Dominic O'Brien

Dominic O'Brien is a mental from England. Dominic O'Brien won the inaugural World Memory Championships in London in 1991 and went on to take the title a further seven times, in 1993, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000 and 2001 — more world titles than any other competitor in the history of the event.

Competitive mental calculation is governed and measured: the Mental Calculation World Cup, the Memoriad and the Mind Sports Olympiad all run standardised tasks — adding ten ten-digit numbers, multiplying eight-digit numbers, extracting square roots and computing calendar dates — so results are directly comparable across decades.
