High school at 11, university at 13
The timetable is the story. Petraro-Hyppolite, from the Five Towns area of Long Island, completed high school at 11 and moved on to Louisiana State University, with his undergraduate degree expected in May 2025. Admission to a master's programme at New York University, in sports management, was reported for the autumn of that year.
CBS New York covered him as a 13-year-old bound for a master's degree at NYU. The Times of India ran the story too, under the description of a 13-year-old with an Einstein-level IQ, which is how the number travels once it leaves the original report.
The numbers, and how to read them
Two figures anchor the coverage. The first is an IQ of 168, reported by CBS New York. The second is an SAT score of 1590, taken at ten, out of a maximum of 1600.
The IQ figure should be read as reported rather than as measured fact: no source here names the test, the administering psychologist or the scale, and comparisons to Einstein, who never sat a modern IQ test, are journalistic shorthand rather than measurement. The SAT score is different in kind. It is a standardised examination with a published maximum, sat under supervision, and 1590 at ten is a documented result rather than an estimate.
What the family has described publicly
The reporting carries a fuller account than the numbers alone. His mother, Anne Petraro-Hyppolite, is named in the coverage. The family has spoken publicly about health difficulties, including a leukaemia diagnosis in 2021 and Tourette syndrome, and about a period in which he was placed in special education before the acceleration began.
This page records those details only because the family put them on the record with reporters, and adds nothing to them. A child's medical history is not material for speculation, and none is offered here.
Where Joe Petraro-Hyppolite is now
The sources point to an LSU degree expected in May 2025 and an NYU master's beginning that autumn. Whether both happened on that schedule is not confirmed in this file; the CBS page carries a later update stamp, but the underlying story dates from 2024.
His stated ambition is paleontology, which sits oddly beside a master's in sports management and is worth noting as his own description of what he wants rather than a prediction about what he will do.

Fazer o teste de QI →What is documented and what is not
Documented: high school completed at 11; study at Louisiana State University with a degree expected in May 2025; admission to an NYU master's programme in sports management; an SAT score of 1590 at ten; an IQ of 168 as reported by CBS New York; his home area on Long Island; and his mother's name.
Not documented here: his date of birth, the name of the IQ test used, his current enrolment status, and any result from the master's programme. Search demand for him remains small, and much of what circulates online is rewritten from the same two reports.
