The night at the audio launch
Telugu film audio launches are large, televised and crowded, and they are not built around children. According to SheThePeople's report of 18 November 2019, by Saumya Rastogi, Hasini went through the filmography of Chiranjeevi on that stage, title by title, attaching a release date to each of 151 films, and did it in front of the actor himself.
The feat is a recall task rather than a calculation, and its difficulty lies in the pairing. A list of titles can be drilled; a list of titles each locked to a year and a date is a second, harder index laid over the first, and it has to survive the noise of a live event.
The other things she can do
Her range, as the article sets it out, is narrow and deep. She recites the periodic table with atomic numbers and values. Given any date between 1901 and 2100, she names the weekday within seconds, which is a two-century span covering roughly 72,000 days. She retains material after minimal exposure, and as a small child she repeated songs after a single hearing.
Her father, Uma Shankar, dated the family's realisation precisely. "At the age of three, when she recited children's songs, we knew she was special," he told SheThePeople. Her mother is named in the report as Jyothi, and at the time of writing she attended Icon Public School in Vijayawada.
Three record books, one year
The registrations came in a cluster in early 2018, when Hasini was six or seven. The Champion Book of World Records listed her memory in February 2018. In March 2018 the International Record Book registered her for the periodic table, and the Telugu Book of World Records registered a Women's Day performance in which she recited the names of sixty successful women, with their achievements, inside sixty minutes.
These are commercial record registries rather than adjudicated competitions, and they are not equivalent to a title won against a field. What they establish is that the performances were witnessed and logged at the time, which is more than most claims of this kind can show.
What is documented — and what is not
Firm: the Sye Raa audio launch performance, the periodic table, the calendar range of 1901 to 2100, her school, her parents' names and the three 2018 registrations. All of it rests on one article.
Not documented: any independent testing of her recall under controlled conditions, any measured score, any footage verified here, and anything at all after November 2019. Her ambitions were reported at the time as scientific, with teachers and family pressing the case for the civil services instead. That was a nine-year-old's preference recorded in passing, and it is not evidence of what she is doing now.
Why prodigious recall is hard to assess
Calendar calculation and long list recall are the two feats most often reported of child memorisers, and they are also the two most often achieved by method rather than by raw capacity. Date-to-weekday conversion can be computed with a short arithmetic rule, and a filmography can be drilled. Neither possibility is a criticism; both are reasons that a stage performance, however clean, cannot settle what is happening underneath.
The article makes no claim about mechanism, and neither does this page. What the record supports is that an eight-year-old carried out a demanding public recall task in front of a film star and a large audience, that the moment was reported by a national outlet, and that registries had logged similar feats a year earlier. Everything past that point is unmeasured.
