The round that made the news

The announcement came on 4 October 2023: $2.3 million, backed by Sam Altman, the OpenAI co-founder, and Peak XV. The money was earmarked for speeding up development of the company's automation software.

What made it a story in India was the combination of investor and age. Two founders, 19 and 18, with no earlier company described in the reporting, raised institutional capital in the middle of the most competitive funding market artificial intelligence had ever seen. The article describes them simply as young technology enthusiasts, and records no prior venture for either.

What Induced AI sells

The platform takes an instruction written in ordinary English and turns it into code that runs in real time. Execution happens inside a modified Chrome browser, which reads the page and interacts with it the way a human operator does, including handling multi-step processes such as two-factor authentication.

The company was working with small and medium-sized businesses. That segment is the natural first market for this approach, because smaller firms are the least likely to have the engineering staff to build integrations and the most likely to be running a patchwork of systems that were never designed to work together.

Why the approach matters

Software automation normally depends on an API: a defined interface that one program offers so that another can use it. When a vendor provides no API, or charges for access, the automation project stops before it starts.

Working through the browser sidesteps that permission entirely. If a person can do a task on a screen, the software can be told to do it. The trade-off is fragility, since interfaces change without notice, and a system that recognises a page visually must cope with a page that has been redesigned overnight. Making that reliable enough to sell is the engineering problem the funding was raised to solve.

Two founders, one record

Pathak and Sharma are documented together and almost never separately. The article that carries this story reports both ages, the company, the product and the round, and attributes no individual role to either: no chief executive, no technical lead, no split of responsibilities.

That is worth stating clearly, because the internet tends to resolve such ambiguity by guessing. On the evidence used here, the honest description is that two teenagers founded the company jointly, and the division of labour between them has not been published.

Where Ayush Pathak is now

The record used for this page ends with the October 2023 announcement. It does not report the company's later funding, customers, revenue or headcount, and it contains no direct quotation from Pathak.

Nor does it name his home city, school or university, or give a date of birth. His age at the time of the round, 19, is the only personal detail published. Anyone searching for him will find the company more reliably than the name: Induced AI is the anchor, and the $2.3 million round of October 2023 is the event that put it on the record.
