Honeycomb
The book is called Honeycomb, and the record attached to it is specific: youngest author in India, as recognised by the India Book of Records, at the age of four.
The India Book of Records is a national record register that documents Indian achievements across a very wide range of categories, and it operates by accepting and verifying submitted claims. A record from it is a documented adjudication rather than an informal press description, which distinguishes it from the many youngest-author claims that rest only on a newspaper's phrasing.
A writer who also paints
Beyond the book, the reporting records that he writes poems and paints. For a four-year-old, that combination is the relevant context: the book is one output of a child who was already producing work in several forms.
What the coverage does not do is describe the book's contents, its length, or how it came to be published. Those are real gaps. A reader wanting to know what a four-year-old's book actually consists of will not find the answer in the sources used here.
North Lakhimpur, and the household
He is from North Lakhimpur, a town in upper Assam, and was a pupil at St Mary's School there. He was being raised by his grandfather, Purno Kanta Gogoi, a retired bank officer, while his parents were in Mizoram.
That detail was published at the time and is recorded here because it is part of the documented story rather than because it explains anything. It does place the record outside the metropolitan circuits where most Indian child-prodigy stories originate: a small town in the north-east, a school, and a grandparent.
Where Ayan Gogoi Gohain is now
The reporting used here dates from June 2018. Nothing in the sources used for this page describes what he has done since — further books, schooling, or anything else.
He was four then and is a child now, which is the reason this page stops here and does not attempt to locate him. The published record is a book, a record certificate and a set of family circumstances reported at the time, and that is where it properly ends.

IQ टेस्ट दें →Why youngest-author records keep moving
Records for the youngest published author have fallen steadily for a straightforward reason: publication has become cheap. When printing a book required a publisher's commitment, the age floor was set by what a publisher would take on. Short-run and self-publishing removed that filter, and the binding constraint became the child's ability to produce text at all.
That is why such records now change hands frequently and why the careful ones specify a registering body. A claim verified by a named record organisation, as this one was by the India Book of Records, states exactly what has been checked — that a book exists, that a named child wrote it, and that the child was younger than any previous claimant on that register.
